Really, Really Long Time!

So quite a bit of time has passed. I spent the winter concentrating on school and praying for no snow. Who knew that rain would be such a problem this spring? And windy?!!! This spring has put winter to shame. Well, that's New England for ya.

The kids are great. Millie just turned 22! (Scream!) Cassie and Sophie just started their own blogs. I would prefer they blog instead of joining social networking sites. And Harris....he is an adorable handful. I wish I had half his energy.

Long Time No See

Oh boy, it has been awhile. We had a quasi-busy summer. Spent a little time in NH with family, hung out at other people's pools, and caught up on child-proofing the house. Harris is such a handful. He's one of those kids that in a roomful of toys will choose to climb on the table.

This was the summer of boo-boos. Rocky/Al had poison oak, then got something in his eye and so was given a tetanus shot which gave him a stiff neck for a couple of days. Sophie had a terrible rash that we think was the result of bug bites and the sunburn on top didn't help much. But Cassie wins the prize, for breaking her arm two weeks into summer camp. She's out of the sling and mending nicely. I passed my summer courses with straight A's and I can't believe classes start up again in 12 days. I'm still working on the quilt I planned to give Harris last Christmas. Add to that the reading I've been trying to do and the painting I plan on starting when the kids go back and I think we are looking at a busy fall.

Totally Toddler

So he's getting bigger and harder to corral. It takes lots of gates and patience. Here he is in his least favorite place...his highchair.

Look Who's One and has a New Blog!

Since Harris is now a year old I decided to create a new site for all the kids. So instead of babywenning.blogspot.com (Harris isn't really a baby anymore)the new blog is http://www.wenningkids.blogspot.com/. I'm hoping to somehow import these posts over to the new site but don't hold your breath.

It worked!!! I was actually able to import the old blog. So this is the new place for photos and updates on all the kids. My next experiment will be posting video. That will be exciting!

10 Months

It's hard to believe that in 2 months he'll be a year old! I'm still struggling with a sleep schedule, he doesn't have one. Which makes getting anything done almost impossible. I decided to try three online courses since I did so well with two last semester. Now I have to try to squeeze housework and homework in when other people are home to watch him. He has a new thing he does...whines like a siren. aaAHHaa, aaAHHaa....over and over again until he gets attention. Yikes! But he's a cutie.

First Christmas

Harris' first Christmas was pretty tame. He was probably more excited that everyone was up as early as he was, for a change, than in his gifts. His favorites are from his Aunts. One is moving/musical gears and the other is a baby version of an MP3 player. He's hesitant to try the push/ride-on toy we got him.
